Company History

Chef's choice since 1969

One of the UK's leading food service providers. A family run business that's been supporting caterers since 1969.

Our Heritage

Holdsworth Foods was established in 1969 and continues to operate as a family-owned business. Founded with a simple aim: to support caterers with dependable service and quality products. Over more than 55 years, the business has grown into a national foodservice wholesaler, operating from nine depots across England and Wales, with our headquarters remaining in Tideswell, Derbyshire.

Throughout our history, our people have been central to that growth. Today, a team of nearly 500 colleagues and a dedicated multi-temperature fleet enable us to serve customers efficiently and reliably nationwide. While our scale has evolved, our approach has remained the same. We continue to take a personal approach to every customer, guided by our core principles of Quality, Service, Innovation and Value.

Driven by Purpose

Our vision, values and mission have shaped our success from the very beginning. They guide how we work, how we lead, and how we grow - driving every decision we make. Built on trust, integrity and a commitment to our people and future, these principles remain at the heart of our business today.
